Aleph Champ is the Hebrew Reading program that we use to teach the children the letter, the vowels and how to read!
Aleph Champ is a fantastic way for children to learn to read Hebrew as a second language. It takes inspiration from Karate and divides Hebrew reading skills into 10 colored levels. There are fun games and activities to help the students meet their goals. Moving up a level is Aleph Champ is a source of pride for students and this makes them self motivated to succeed. Self motivated students is a quality that is unique to the Aleph Champ Hebrew Reading program. Aleph champ is a differentiated learning program so each child is able to learn and move along at their level!
Jewish holiday learning is a highlight of our year! From tasting the different Rosh Hashana foods to learning how to build a Sukkah, from having a Tu B’Shvat Seder to a Purim party, from learning all about the story of the Jewish exodus from Egypt to participating in a real live Matza Bakery, Jewish holiday learning is practical, experiential, full of singing and always involves fascinating lessons that we can apply to our day to day lives.
Bereishit – The Story of Our Lives
Throughout the year, all classes will be following the C-kids Breishit Curriculum. This curriculum is tailored to different age levels, and gives our students a strong understanding of our history, our heritage and the values of the Jewish people. It is a fun curriculum, fill of educational activities and games, and gives the opportunity for those who are able to learn more to delve further into the text.
